Bare Telescoping Tubing is only the telescoping tube body; Semi-Finished is the tube body plus front-end components like grips and end plugs. The former has no MOQ; the latter has a 3,000-pcs MOQ. If the telescoping section is the only piece you're missing, Bare Telescoping Tubing is enough.

Accepted Answer

Yes, the bare tube body includes the telescoping mechanism. At the factory the telescoping tube is already assembled and the tension set to your requirement, so what you receive is a working telescoping set that extends and retracts normally. Only the front-end parts (grips, end plugs) are not fitted.

Q3 · Is there really no MOQ? What's the minimum?

Bare Telescoping Tubing has no MOQ, and even small sample quantities are fine. This format is built for “inspect first, scale later.” Many customers take just a few dozen on the first order to confirm tube quality, tolerance, and finish for a first round of in-house testing, then scale up on the second order.

A telescoping tube isn't a single tube. It's several sections of progressively different diameters nesting together, plus internal matching parts. So “a new size” often isn't one changed die but a whole set. That's why we recommend starting from our 99 in-stock diameters, which already cover most needs, with no wait for tooling, so you reach the market faster. Where a die is needed, it typically takes 30–45 days. Tell us your application and we'll help you decide the most cost-effective route.

Q5 · How do I choose among the four materials?

Choosing among the four materials depends on the use case: for tools, stainless steel first (201 for general environments, 316 for coastal salt-spray); for light weight, color, or wet environments, aluminum; for conductivity or wave transmission, H65 brass; for ultra-light, carbon fiber. When in doubt, tell us the intended use and we'll recommend the best option.

Q6 · How are tolerance and quality guaranteed?

Precision-drawn tubes (stainless steel and brass) hold a wall-thickness tolerance of ±0.05 mm, and tube cutting is ±0.1 mm per section. We don't spot-check. Every piece and every step is fully inspected before shipping, so the first piece and the last are near-identical.

Q7 · Can I get a sample first? Is the sample fee refundable?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can order a sample first. Telescoping-tube samples are made with the same material and process as mass production, to verify tube quality, tolerance, and finish. The sample fee is refunded after a formal order; shipping is not included.

Accepted Answer

Yes, surface-finish colors can be specified. Aluminum is anodized, or painted (powder or baked) to your Pantone reference; stainless steel can be electroplated, polished, e-coated, or painted; brass can be chrome-plated, nickel-plated, or polished.

Q10 · I'll fit my own grips and end plugs: how do we align the dimensions?

When you fit your own grips and end plugs, we provide tube-opening fit dimensions and tolerance recommendations at order time, so your parts fit and stay snug. We can also produce plastic and metal parts (CNC or tooling) to go with the overall product's production and assembly.

Yes, one order can mix different materials and specs. That's exactly the point of no MOQ. Taking 2–3 diameters, a small batch of each, in one order for comparison testing is the most common way to trial.

Accepted Answer

For a quote, it's ideal to have the application (what environment, how it's used), the tube diameter, retracted/extended length, and any other needs (surface finish or branding). No drawing is fine, and we'll put together a recommendation.

What you receive

A complete, fully working telescoping tube body: the internal telescoping mechanism is already assembled and the tension is already set at the factory, so it extends and retracts normally the moment you receive it. It simply doesn't yet have the grips, end plugs, or functional heads fitted.
