What is the difference between the four product formats?

Upsilon’s four product formats differ in how complete the product is when it arrives. Bare Telescoping Tubing is the telescoping tube itself, with the lock and force already set. Semi-Finished adds grips, end caps and connectors. A Finished Product has the functional head fitted and is ready to use. Retail-Ready adds individual retail packaging, so it goes straight to the shelf.

Is there really no MOQ for Bare Telescoping Tubing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Upsilon’s Bare Telescoping Tubing has no minimum order, and one order can mix materials and diameters. The format is built for inspecting before scaling: many customers start with a few dozen pieces to check tube quality, tolerance and finish, then order larger quantities the second time.

How is the 3,000 pcs MOQ counted? Can I mix colors or sizes?

Accepted Answer

Upsilon counts the MOQ for Semi-Finished, Finished and Retail-Ready products per SKU: 3,000 pcs each, with no mixing. Each color, diameter and length is its own SKU, so one pole in black and blue is two SKUs of 3,000 pcs. If you are still comparing options, narrow them to one SKU with Bare Telescoping Tubing first.

What are the lead times, and when do they start?

Upsilon’s lead times start at order confirmation and exclude international shipping: 15–20 days for Bare Telescoping Tubing and 30–45 days for Semi-Finished, Finished and Retail-Ready products. Projects that need new tooling add 30–45 days. Samples take 7–10 days.

Which product formats are available in carbon fiber?

Upsilon makes carbon fiber tubing as Semi-Finished, Finished and Retail-Ready products; there is no Bare Telescoping Tubing tier in carbon fiber. Carbon fiber is built to order with no stock size table, so MOQ and lead time are quoted per project.

Can I test a small batch first, then move to production?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and it is the path Upsilon recommends. Start with a sample in 7–10 days, then test a small batch of Bare Telescoping Tubing with no MOQ. Once the design is settled, a pre-production sample confirms logo position, color and process before mass production. It is the lowest-cost way to get the design right.

Can I sign an NDA before sharing my design?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Upsilon can sign an NDA before you send drawings or a product concept. Your design is used only for your orders, your dedicated tooling makes only your product, and we never make your design for another brand.

Question 8

Do you make electric, pneumatic or hydraulic telescoping poles?

Accepted Answer

No. Upsilon makes mechanical telescoping only, using spring clips and locks to extend and hold length. Hydraulic, pneumatic and electric telescoping are not supported. Within mechanical telescoping, we offer five locking options and an adjustable force of 500–3,000 g (1.1–6.6 lb).
