What is the difference between Finished and Retail-Ready?

Upsilon’s Finished and Retail-Ready products are the same product with different packaging. Finished Products ship in 5-ply export cartons, which suits e-commerce self-fulfillment, wholesale and B2B. Retail-Ready products come individually in a color box or on a hang tag, with barcode, labels and instructions, ready for store shelves or e-commerce warehouse intake.

What does ‘ready to use’ actually mean?

An Upsilon Finished Product arrives in the state your end user receives it: the structure is assembled, the telescoping force is set to your requirement, the functional head is fitted, and every piece has passed six inspection steps. Open the carton, extend the pole, and it works.

Question 3

Will export cartons survive international shipping?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Upsilon packs Finished Products in 5-ply export cartons with crush- and moisture-resistant protection inside. We recommend 25–30 kg (55–66 lb) per carton, usually a dozen to several dozen poles, which is easy to handle and hard to crush. If your channel has specific packing or drop-test requirements, we follow them.

Question 4

My product isn’t finalized. Can you start from design?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Upsilon can start from your CAD and align the details, or from an idea alone: tell us the application, minimum collapsed length and target price, and we draw it, usually aligning the design in 2–3 days. Production starts after you approve the sample.

Question 5

Do I need product testing or certification?

Accepted Answer

Upsilon arranges product testing per target market, order by order: California Prop 65 is common for the US, and function and safety testing can go to third parties such as SGS, BV or Intertek. Tell us your target market and testing needs when you order; test items and fees are itemized in the quote.

What if a quality issue appears after delivery?

Accepted Answer

Upsilon provides after-sales support: handling quality issues, follow-up reorders and tooling maintenance. We store and maintain your dedicated tooling, so reorders go straight to production without new tooling. Every order keeps its inspection records, so a problem can be traced to the batch and step where it started.

What is a retention feature, and why does it matter?

A retention feature is a rolled groove, dimples or a rolled edge that Upsilon adds during tube processing, so a section cannot pull out under force and the tube mouth won’t cut a hand on retraction. It is not a lock but a safety baseline: built into every pole and checked on every pole.

What does a typical finished-product order look like?

A typical Upsilon Finished Product order: a marine brand needs a yacht canopy support pole in three-section anodized aluminum, with an external twist lock, support heads at both ends, built to float if dropped in water, and packed in 5-ply export cartons.
