/ FAQ
These are the questions brands most often ask when choosing a telescoping-tube factory. Each answer is written to stand on its own, so you can size us up fast.
Upsilon is a precision manufacturer specializing in custom telescoping tubes and poles, with end-to-end OEM/ODM service from design and precision manufacturing to assembly, quality assurance, and global delivery. We run our own stainless steel, aluminum, and copper tube mills plus an in-house R&D center, headquartered in Xiamen, China with a second plant in Taiwan, and we deliver to 30-plus countries across North America, Europe, and East Asia.
Upsilon has made telescoping products across dozens of industries: from early radio and TV antennas, barbecue forks, high-frequency phone antennas, magnetic tools, and table flags, to outdoor gear, consumer products, marine and yachting, industrial tools, and mass-produced categories such as selfie sticks. The common thread is always a custom tube-and-pole structure that extends, locks, and bears load. More specific application examples are available under NDA.
Upsilon is a factory, not a trading company or sourcing middleman. We build custom telescoping tubes ourselves, with precision drawing, structural R&D, precision parts, assembly, and full inspection all in-house. We can also consolidate the last mile of your shipment: bring your China-based products together, have Upsilon's own QC team run the final inspection to your requirements, then load one combined container, which raises efficiency and spreads the freight cost. But we don't run a buy-everything-for-you sourcing business.
Upsilon makes custom telescoping tubes in stainless steel, aluminum, and copper, all produced in our own mills (other materials such as carbon fiber can be discussed). Wall-thickness tolerance on precision-drawn stainless and copper tube is held to within ±0.05 mm; aluminum is extruded, with wall thickness as mutually agreed.
Upsilon's custom telescoping tubes currently reach about 52 mm in diameter for aluminum and about 23 mm for stainless and copper.
Upsilon uses mechanical locking, including flip locks, twist locks, push-button (ball-detent) locks, and anti-drop retention. We do not make hydraulic or powered/electric column lifts.
Upsilon's MOQ is 3,000 pcs per SKU for semi-finished, finished, and retail-ready goods. Bare Telescoping Tubing has no MOQ.
Upsilon samples usually take 7–10 days, with a sample fee of USD 20–200 that is credited back against a formal order. Sample shipping is not included.
Yes. Upsilon specializes in customers who arrive with just an idea, a photo, or a rough requirement. Describe the use case and what it is for, and we'll work back to the structure and propose a solution. We respond within 6–10 hours and give a proposal and quote within 24–48 business hours.
Yes. Upsilon offers several product formats, from Bare Telescoping Tubing to semi-finished, finished, and retail-ready goods. You can take only the stage you need, or hand the whole thing to us through to finished-goods shipping.
Upsilon puts every single unit through 6 inspection checkpoints and inspects 100%, not by sampling, covering incoming (IQC), in-process (IPQC), final (FQC), and outgoing (OQC). Nothing ships until it passes.
Upsilon offers powder coating, baked paint, wet spray (oven-cured), and anodizing. Anodizing can be color-matched to Pantone. The right finish depends on your product's look, durability, and compliance needs.
Upsilon typically ships mass production 30–45 days after order confirmation, with the exact lead time depending on structure, quantity, and surface finish.
Upsilon quotes FOB Xiamen in USD as standard. We can also accommodate terms such as EXW, CIF, and DDP, settlement by Letter of Credit (L/C), and sea or air freight as needed.
Upsilon already delivers to 30-plus countries across North America, Europe, and East Asia. With the telescoping products you make here as the anchor, we can consolidate QC and packing and combine container loading, lowering your freight per unit and cutting the number of factories you have to coordinate.
Upsilon's factory has completed a SMETA 4-Pillar audit (Labour, Health & Safety, Environment, and Business Ethics), a standard recognized by Walmart and other major retailers' responsible-sourcing programs.
Yes. Upsilon welcomes in-person audits, third-party audits, and video audits by appointment. If you can't visit in person, we can walk the production line with a camera.
Upsilon signs an NDA before seeing any drawing. Your design, patents, and product concepts are never leaked, reused, or made for a competitor. Your dedicated tooling is 100% yours, transferable at any time, and kept safe by us on your behalf.
